Drug Description:

This medicine is used to treat mild to moderate pain/inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis (degenerative bone disease), and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Doctors may occasionally prescribe it for other reasons.Store at controlled room temperature (between 68 to 77 degrees F). Keep container tightly closed.How much medicine you take/give and how often you take/give it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking/giving, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the information provided with this medicine and reread it each time you get this prescription refilled. Swallow Tablet whole. Do not crush, break, or chew them. Avoid taking/giving aspirin or similar medicines (eg, ibuprofen) while taking/giving this medicine unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take/give this medicine if you and/or your child have experienced asthma, runny nose with or without nasal polyps, or severe tightness in the chest after taking aspirin or similar medications. Contact your health care provider if changes in vision occur. This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Lab tests may be required to monitor therapy if you are taking this medicine long-term. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not stop taking/giving this medicine without talking with your health care provider. Do not take/give any over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking/giving this medicine. Do not take/give more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have taken/given too much of this medicine. If a dose is missed, take/give it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, restart medication and contact your health care provider.Do not take/give this medication if you and/or your child are allergic to any ingredient in this medication you and/or your child have experienced asthma, hives, runny nose, nasal polyps, or an allergic reaction after taking aspirin or similar medicationsBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you and/or your child are taking any other prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you and/or your child have impaired kidney function if you and/or your child have impaired liver function if you and/or your child are taking blood thinners or have a blood disorder if you and/or your child are taking water pills if you and/or your child have a history of fluid retention if you and/or your child have high blood pressure if you and/or your child have heart failure or heart disease if you smoke if you and/or your child have a history of peptic ulcer or intestinal bleeding if you regularly consume large amounts of alcohol if you and/or your child have any other medical conditionThis medicne may cause severe or fatal peptic ulceration, gastrointestinal bleeding and intestinal perforation.
