There are many individuals in the Pacific islands who consume kava on a daily basis for almost a lifetime with no apparent liver damage reported. Drinking kava has been part of their culture for hundreds of years. Kava, traditionally consumed in the Pacific as water extracts, has been found to contain far less kavalactones than what is present in kava capsules. It’s best not take kava more than 3 or 4 days a week, and take a week off each month. Take this medicine preferably at bedtime. This medicine may cause dizziness and changes in vision.
