Drug Description:

This medicine is used to treat certain kinds of chest pains in adults such as angina pectoris and chronic stable angina. This medicine is also used to treat high blood pressure, loss of circulation in the fingers and toes (Raynaud’s phenomenon), for involuntary movements (tardive dyskinesia), and to prevent heart attack.Store at room temperature 59 to 86 degrees F. Do not freeze.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. The usual dose is 1 tablet three to four times daily, before meals and at bedtime. Spread throughout the day. Take at the same time each day. Do not change the dose unless advised to do so by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly. If therapy is discontinued, it should be tapered gradually. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
