Description

Indications

This medication is prescribed to manage high blood pressure (hypertension), reducing the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and kidney issues. It comprises three active ingredients: olmesartan, amlodipine, and hydrochlorothiazide. Olmesartan functions as an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), while amlodipine acts as a calcium channel blocker. Together, they promote blood vessel relaxation, facilitating smoother blood flow. Hydrochlorothiazide operates as a “water pill” or diuretic, prompting the body to eliminate excess salt and water through increased urine production.

Share your medical history with your doctor or pharmacist, especially if you have a history of kidney disease, liver disease, dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, gout, lupus, a particular heart valve condition known as aortic stenosis, or skin cancer.
