Description

Indications

Alclometasone serves to address an array of skin conditions, including eczema, dermatitis, allergies, and rashes. Alclometasone effectively mitigates the swelling, itching, and redness that can manifest in these particular conditions. It is classified as a corticosteroid with low to medium potency.

Uses and Dosage

Apply this medication exclusively to the skin. Refrain from using it on the face, groin, underarms, or for diaper rash, unless otherwise instructed by your doctor.

Before use, ensure your hands are clean and dry. Prepare the affected area by cleaning and drying it. Follow your doctor’s guidance and apply a thin layer of the medication to the affected area, gently massaging it in. Typically, this is done 2 to 3 times a day.

Unless your doctor instructs otherwise, avoid bandaging, covering, or wrapping the treated area.

After application, remember to wash your hands, unless you are using this medication to treat your hands. When applying it near the eyes, be cautious to prevent any contact with the eyes, as it may worsen or induce glaucoma. Take care to avoid contact with the nose or mouth as well. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse thoroughly with ample water.

Use this medication solely for the condition it was prescribed for.

When using it on a child, do not exceed 3 weeks of consecutive use unless otherwise advised by the doctor.

Although rare, prolonged or extensive use of corticosteroid medications on the skin can potentially hinder your body’s response to physical stress. Before undergoing surgery, emergency treatment, or if you experience a serious illness or injury, inform your doctor or dentist if you are currently using or have used this medication in the past few months.
