Drug Description:

This medicine is used to treat vaginal yeast infections and itching and irritation associated with vaginal yeast infections.Store below 86 degrees F. Avoid excessive heat. Protect from freezing.How much medicine you use and how often you use it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the information provided with this medicine. Use this medicine exactly as prescribed by your health care provider. This medicine is for vaginal use only. Do not use in eyes or take by mouth. If this is the first time you have had vaginal and external genital itching and discomfort, talk with your health care provider before using this medicine. Unwrap 1 insert, place in applicator, and use the applicator to place the insert high into the vagina at bedtime for 7 days. For relief of external genital itching caused by yeast infections, squeeze a small amount of cream onto your finger and gently spread the cream onto irritated area once or twice daily for up to 7 days. Do not use this medicine for itching due to causes other than a yeast infection. If symptoms do not improve within 3 days or you do not get well within 7 days, talk with your doctor. You may have a condition other than a yeast infection. If your symptoms return within 2 months or if you have infections that do not clear up easily with proper treatment, talk with your doctor. Contact your health care provider if you think you have been exposed to HIV. Do not use tampons while using this medicine. Avoid having sexual intercourse until the infection has healed. This medicine may damage condoms and diaphragms. Do not stop using this medicine without talking with your health care provider. Do not take any over-the-counter or prescription medicine without talking with your health care provider. This includes herbal preparations or dietary supplements. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before using this medicine. Do not use more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have used too much of this medicine. If a dose is missed, use it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor.
