Drug Description:

This medicine is used to relieve acid indigestion, heartburn, and sour stomach. Also prescribed as an excellent source of elemental calcium.Store at room temperature (between 59 and 86 degrees F).How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine may be recommended by your doctor or pharmacist as a source of calcium. Do not use the maximum dosage for more than 2 weeks unless advised to do so by your health care provider. This medicine can interact with certain medicines. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medicines without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations and dietary supplements. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than recommended unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have taken too much of this medicine. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria (e.g., hyperparathyroidism, vitamin D overdosage, decalcifying tumors such as plasmocytoma; bone metastases); severe renal disease; and in calcium loss due to immobilization.Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you have any other medical conditionThis medicine may interact with certain prescription drugs. If you are presently taking a prescription drug, do not take this product without checking with your physician or your health care provider. Do not take more than 16 tablets in a 24-hour period or use the maximum dosage of this product for more than two weeks, except under the advice and supervision of a physician. If symptoms persist for two weeks, stop using this product and see a physician. Keep this and all medicines out of the reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact the poison control center.
