Drug Description:

This medication is for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease in adults. It is also used to treat Parkinson-like symptoms in patients taking certain tranquilizers.Store between 59 to 77 degrees F. Protect from moisture.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. If you are unable to take this medication at bedtime, tell your health care provider so that the dosage schedule may be adjusted. Do not stop taking this medication without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medication. Do not take more medication than is prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine you have angle-closure glaucomaBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical conditionThis medicine may cause some people to have blurred vision or to become drowsy, dizzy, or less alert than norma. This medicine may cause your eyes to become more sensitive to light than they are normally. Wearing sunglasses and avoiding too much exposure to bright light may help lessen the discomfort.Most severe: Anxiety; difficulty in speaking or swallowing; dizziness or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying or sitting position; fast heartbeat; loss of balance control; mask-like face; muscle spasms, especially of face, neck, and back; restlessness or desire to keep moving; shuffling walk; stiffness of arms or legs; trembling and shaking of hands and fingers; trouble in sleeping; twisting movements of bodyMost common:  Dry mouth; enlarged pupils; blurred vision; giddiness; lightheadedness; nausea; vomiting; stomach problems; constipation.Other:  Rash; muscle weakness.
