Uses and Dosage
Inhale this medication orally as per your doctor’s instructions, typically twice daily. The prescribed dosage depends on your medical condition and how you respond to the treatment.
It’s unnecessary to use a spacer device with this medication. Priming or shaking the inhaler before use is not required. If your prescribed dose consists of 2 puffs, ensure there’s at least a one-minute gap between them. If you are utilizing multiple inhalers simultaneously, maintain a minimum of 1-minute intervals between each medication use, and administer this corticosteroid last.

Your doctor may need to gradually reduce your dosage to minimize withdrawal effects if you are regularly taking a different corticosteroid by mouth, such as prednisone. You might start sensing the effects of this medication within 24 hours, but obtaining the full benefits could take several weeks or more. If your condition does not improve or worsens, inform your doctor accordingly.

Inform your doctor or dentist about your usage of this medication or any orally taken corticosteroid within the past year. This medication could potentially obscure signs of infection, making you more susceptible to infections or exacerbating existing ones. Distance yourself from individuals with easily transmissible infections like chickenpox, COVID-19, measles, or the flu. Consult your doctor if you’ve been exposed to an infection or need further details.
In the event of prolonged usage, this medication could temporarily slow down a child’s growth. Poorly controlled asthma can also impede growth. Regular medical check-ups are recommended to monitor your child’s height.
During pregnancy, the use of this medication should only be used if necessary. The potential risks and benefits should be discussed with your doctor.
