Drug Description:
This medicine is used topically for the treatment of head, pubic, and body lice.Store between 68 to 77 degrees F. Keep away from fire or flame. Do not puncture or incinerate container. Contents are under pressure.This medicine is for external or topical use only. Do not use near the eyes. Shake the medicine well before use. Holding the can upside down, apply this medicine to dry hair or other affected area. Massage until all of the hair is thoroughly wet. Allow the medicine to remain on the hair for 10 minutes, but no longer. Wash the treated area thoroughly with warm water and soap or shampoo. Use a fine-tooth comb or a special lice-removing comb to help remove dead lice or their eggs from the hair. A second treatment with this medicine must be done in 7 to 10 days to kill any newly hatched lice. Stop using this medicine and contact your health care provider if skin irritation or infection is present or develops, or if lice infest the eyelashes or eyebrows. Do not get this medicine into the eyes at any time, including when rinsing this medicine from the hair. Make sure to close your eyes and protect your eyes with a washcloth or towel when rinsing this medicine out of your hair. If this medicine gets into the eyes, thoroughly rinse the eyes with water. Do not get this medicine inside the nose, mouth or vagina. Irritation may occur. Use this medicine in a well-ventilated area. Do not inhale. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine.
