Drug Description:

This medicine is used to treat minor pain, itching, swelling and discomfort caused by hemorrhoids and other problems on the anal area.Store between 59 to 86 degrees F. Keep the container closed tightly. Do not freeze.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Apply as a thin film 3 or 4 times a day. Do not cover or bandage the treated skin area unless directed to do so by your doctor. Report any signs of side effects, especially under any bandage or covering. Parents should not use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants on a child being treated in the diaper area. Bandages or covering may be used to manage psoriasis. If an infection occurs, stop this medicine and contact your doctor. If the condition being treated gets worse, or if irritation, burning, redness, pain, swelling, or stinging persists or gets worse, stop using this medicine and contact your doctor. Washing or soaking the affected area, then drying, before application may increase drug penetration and effectiveness. Avoid long-term use of this medicine if possible. Lab tests may be required. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor.
