Drug Description:

This medicine is used to treat mild to moderate acne.Store at room temperature in a cool dry place, protect from heat and light. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children and pets. Throw away any unused medication after the expiration date.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. Tell your prescriber or health care professional about all other skin preparations, prescription and non-prescription, you are using. These may affect the way your medicine works. Check before stopping or starting any of your medicines. Do not wash areas of skin treated with this medicine for at least 1 hour after applying the medicine. If you experience very dry and peeling skin or skin irritation, check with your prescriber or health care professional. Do not use the following products on the same areas that you are treating with benzoyl peroxide, unless otherwise directed by your prescriber or health care professional: medicated cosmetics, cosmetics that dry the skin (especially products that contain alcohol), rough soaps or cleaners, and any other acne preparation or skin treatment. If you use these products in combination with benzoyl peroxide they can increase the risk of skin irritation. If you miss a dose, apply as soon as possible and then continue with your regular schedule. Do not use extra doses, or use for a longer period of time than directed by your prescriber or health care professional. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any component present in this medicine.Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you are taking blood thinners if you have stomach problems if you have peptic ulcers if you have any other medical condition like liver or kidney function impairment or heart problemYour acne may get worse during the first few weeks of treatment with this mediicne and then start to improve.
