Drug Description:

A medicine used for the relief of redness, soreness, and irritation after cataract surgery. May occasionally be prescribed for other reasons.Store between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C). Protect from light.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. For use in the eye. Do not stop taking this medication without checking with your health care provider. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist. Patients with previous conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medication. Avoid aspirin and alcoholic beverages. If stomach upset occurs, take with food, milk, or antacids. If stomach pain continues, tell your health care provider. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. Observe caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring mental alertness, coordination, and dexterity. May cause sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. Use sunscreens and wear protective clothing until tolerance is determined. Contact your health care provider if you have experienced bleeding problems, are on medicines that prolong bleeding time (eg, blood thinners). Tell your health care provider if you have herpes simplex of the eye.
