Drug Description:

This medicine is applied topically to temporarily relieve pain associated with minor cuts and skin scrapes, minor burns (including sunburn), minor skin irritation, and insect bites.Store between 59 and 86 degrees F. Keep the tube tightly capped between applications.How much medicine you use and how often you use it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount andperor frequency of the medicine you are using, talk with your health care provider. This medicine is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact with the eyes occurs, wash out the eye at once with water or saline and protect it until the numbness is gone. Wash your hands before and after applying. Do not apply this medicine to irritated skin. If excessive irritation occurs, stop using this medicine. Use caution when applying this medicine over large areas and leaving it on for more than 2 hours. Applying this medicine to larger areas or for longer times than recommended can cause serious side effects. This medicine may cause a numbing effect at the application site. Do not scratch, rub, or expose the area to extreme hot or cold temperatures until the numbness is gone. If condition worsens or if symptoms continue unchanged for more than 7 days or clear up and return within a few days, stop using this medicine and talk with your doctor. When giving this medicine to young children, be sure to closely watch the child to prevent accidental swallowing of this medicine. This medicine may cause diziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not apply more medicine than recommended unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor.
