Description

Indications

Clomiphene belongs to a class of medications called ovulatory stimulants, and is utilized to stimulate the production of eggs in women who experience infertility due to a lack of ovulation.

This medication’s mechanism of action is similar to estrogen, a hormone primarily produced in females, which prompts the development and release of eggs in the ovaries. Clomiphene is commonly prescribed to women who desire to become pregnant.

Uses and Dosage

For clomiphene to be maximally effective, take it orally exactly as instructed by your physician. Adhere to your prescribed dosing regimen.

Your medical condition and response to treatment are used to determine your dosage. Do not take clomiphene more frequently or for a longer period than advised by your doctor.

This medication should not be taken for more than 6 cycles, and long-term treatment is not recommended.

For optimal results, you may be advised to keep track of your body temperature, conduct ovulation tests, and carefully time sexual intercourse.
