Drug Description:

This medicine is used in patients over 12 years of age for the temporary relief of nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever, or other upper respiratory allergies or associated with a sinus infection.Store at controlled room temperature (between 68 and 77 degrees F). Protect from excessive heat, replace cap immediately after use.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Spray this medicine in each nostril not more often than every 8 to 10 hours. Do not give this medicine to children under 12 years of age unless directed by a health care provider. Do not use this product for more than 3 days unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not share this bottle of medicine with others. Use of this container by more than one person may spread infection. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications or dietary supplements without talking with your health care provider. Do not take more medicine than recommended unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine you have heart disease, you have high blood pressure you have thyroid disease you have diabetes you have difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostateBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine or dietary supplement if you have any other medical conditionDo not exceed the recommended dose of this medicine. Systemic effects from the use of this medicine can occur due to rapid absorption from the nasal mucous membrane, especially when it is inflamed, and from gastrointestinal absorption if given in excess so that the nasally applied solution is swallowed.Most severe: Irregular and rapid pulse, elevated blood pressure, and sometimes clouding of consciousness.Most common: Burning; stinging; sneezing; increased nasal discharge. Frequent or prolonged use may cause nasal congestion to recur or worsen.Other: Hypertension, nervousness, nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, palpitation, tachycardia, arrhythmia and visual disturbances.
