It should not be used on premature infants or newborns during the first 2 months of life.Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place. Protect from direct heat and light. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine is for external use only. Apply once or twice daily to a thickness of about 1/16 inch. Wash hands and wear sterile gloves when applying the medicine. Burn areas should be covered with this medicine at all times. Covering the burns with a dressing is optional. Bathe the burned area daily. A whirlpool bath is particularly helpful. Reapply immediately after bathing and to any areas where it has been removed.
