Description

Drug Description:

This medicine is used to treat certain types of irregular heartbeats that lead to serious heart rhythm disturbances.Store between 59 to 86 degrees F. Protect from light.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Take this medicine at evenly spaced intervals around the clock. Notify your doctor if you develop any signs of infection such as fever, sore throat, chills or unusual bleeding or bruising or signs of overdose, such as fainting, dizziness, excessive drowsiness, slowed heart rate, or abnormal heartbeat. This medicine may cause dizziness, drowsiness, fainting, or vision problems. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Lab tests may be required to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your health care provider. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine you have congestive heart failure you have circulatory problems you have severe heart problems and do not have a pacemaker you have a slow heartbeat you have low blood pressure you have tightness in the lungs or breathing problems you have electrolyte imbalanceBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have myasthenia gravis (severe muscle weakness) If you have liver or kidney disease if you have any other medical conditionThis medicine should not be taken by patients with non-life-threatening, slow or irregular heartbeats, even if they are experiencing unpleasant, but not life-threatening symptoms or signs.Most severe:  New or worsened heart rhythm problems; swelling; fainting; slow heartbeat; pounding in the chest; chest pain; fever; chills; sore throat.Most common:  Unusual taste; nausea; vomiting; dizziness; constipation; headache; fatigue; tiredness; blurred vision.Other:  Weakness; difficulty breathing; tremor; appetite loss; diarrhea; clumsiness/loss of balance; stomach pain or cramps; indigestion; ringing in the ears; abnormal vision; sore throat; anxiety; gas; rash; sleeplessness; fainting.
