Drug Description:

This medicine is used for children to temporarily reduce fever and to relieve minor aches and pains caused by the common cold, flu, headaches, and toothaches. This medicine is also used to treat jeuvenile arthritis.Store between 68 and 77 degrees F. Do not use this medicine after the expiration date printed on the package.How much medicine you give and how often it is given depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are giving, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the information provided with this medicine. Give this medicine according to the directions on the package. Shake this medicine well before each use. Use the dosing chart provided and measuring device provided to give an accurate dose of this medicine. Give this medicine with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Stop giving this medicine if stomach pain or upset stomach gets worse or continues. Stop giving this medicine and contact your health care provider if an allergic reaction (hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of the mouth, face; lips, or tongue; wheezing; shock [pale skin]) occurs. Stop giving this medicine and contact your health care provider if your child does not get any relief within the first day (24 hours) after taking this medicine or if fever or pain gets worse or lasts for more than 3 days. Stop giving this medicine if redness or swelling is present in the painful area or if any new symptoms occur. Consult a doctor before giving this medicine to children under 6 months of age. Parents of children with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before giving this medicine. Do not give more medicine than recommended without talking to your health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have given too much of this medicine. Do not give any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements.Do not give this medicine if your child is allergic to any ingredient in this medicine your child is allergic to aspirin or similar medications, such as naproxenBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if your child is taking any prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine (especially ibuprofen), herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if your child is under a doctor’s care for any serious condition if your child has not been drinking fluids if your child has lost a lot of fluid due to continued vomiting or diarrhea if your child has stomach pain if your child has had serious side effects from taking fever reducers or pain relievers if your child has asthma if your child has any other medical conditionThis medicine should be used with caution if your child has kidney or liver disease, or is severely dehydrated; this medicine can cause liver or kidney inflammation.Most severe:  Serious allergic reactions (hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of the mouth, face; lips, or tongue; wheezing; shock [pale skin]).Most common:  Stomach upset.Other:  Sensitivity to light.
