Drug Description:

This medicine is used as a vitamin supplement in adults and children 4 years of age and older with conditions that require replacement of water-soluble vitamins. Conditions include the following: Stomach and intestine disorders;alcoholism; illnesses with fever; prolonged or wasting diseases; overactive thyroid; poorly controlled diabetes; pregnancy; old age, severe burns; recovery from surgery.Store at controlled room temperature (59 to 86 degrees F) in a dry place.How much medicine you take and how often it is taken depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Take this medicine as directed by your health care provider. Most people on regular diets do not need vitamin supplements. Some of these products contain the dye tartrazine (FD&C Yellow No. 5), which may cause an allergic reaction in some individuals. Consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not take any over-the-counter or prescription medications or dietary supplements without talking with your health care provider. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider.
