Drug Description:

This medicine is used alone and in combination with other chemotherapy to treat brain tumors and Hodgkin’s disease.Store at room temperature in well closed containers. Avoid temperatures over 104 degrees F, direct light and moisture.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount andperor frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Lab tests will be required to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. There may be two or more different types and colors of Capsule in the container dispensed by your pharmacist. Be sure that you are taking the correct one. This medicine is given as a single dose and is not repeated for at least 6 weeks. Nausea and vomiting usually last less than 24 hours, although loss of appetite may last for several days. If any of the following reactions occur, notify your doctor: Fever, chills, sore throat, unusual bleeding or bruising; shortness of breath; dry cough; swelling of feet or lower legs; mental confusion; yellowing of skin or eyes. Do not stop taking this medication without checking with your doctor. Do not take more medication than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicineBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine or dietary supplements if you have any other medical conditionThis medicine can cause severe bleeding and allow serious infections to develop.
