Drug Description:

This medication is used for the prevention and long-term treatment of asthma in adults and children 12 years of age and older. It should not be used to treat acute asthma attacks.Store Tablet between 68 to 77 degrees F. Protect from light and moisture.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medication should be taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Do not take this medicine if you are breastfeeding. Other anti-asthma medicine should be considered by your health care provider. Do not use this medication to treat acute asthma attacks. Do not decrease the dose or stop taking any other anti-asthma medicines unless you are instructed to do so by your health care provider. This medication should be taken as prescribed even when you do not experience any symptoms. If you experience upper right stomach pain, nausea, tiredness, itching, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or flu-like symptoms while taking this medication, talk with your health care provider at once. This medicine may cause dizziness; patients should observe caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care providers before taking this medication. Do not take more medication than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider.
