Drug Description:

This medicine is indicated for symptomatic relief of upper respiratory symptoms, including nasal congestion, associated with allergy or the common cold.Store in a dry place at room temperature between 59 – 86F. Keep out of reach of children and petsHow much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.Do not give this medicine to your child if you are allergic to this medicine or to any ingredient present in this medicine. Do not use in newborn infants, premature infants, in nursing mothers, in patients with severe hypertension, severe coronary artery disease, ischemic heart disease, or in those receiving monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, if with narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, peptic ulcer, and during an asthma attack, or to treat lower respiratory tract conditions including asthma.Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if your child is taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if your child has any other medical condition like liver or kidney function impairment, heart ot lung problemThis medicine may diminish mental alertness, and may cause hyperexcitability especially in children. At doses higher than the recommended dose, nervousness, dizziness, or sleeplessness may occur. Especially in infants and small children, antihistamines in overdosage may cause hallucinations, convulsions, and death. Use with caution in patients with hypertension, ischemic heart disease, and persons older than 60 years old.Most severe: Urticaria, drug rash, photosensitivity, pruritus, hypotension, hypertension, cardiac arrhythmias, palpitation, disturbed coordination, tremor, irritability, insomnia, visual disturbances, weakness, nervousness, convulsion, headache, euphoria, and dysphoria.Most common: Sedation, dryness of mouth, nose, and throat; thickening of bronchial secretions; dizziness.Other: Epigastric discomfort, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, tightness of chest and wheezing, shortness of breath.
