Drug Description:

This medicine is indicated for the gradual treatment of ultraviolet induced dyschromia and discoloration resulting from the use of oral contraceptives, pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy, or skin traumaStore in a dry place at room temperature between 59 – 86F. Keep out of reach of children and pets’How much medicine you use and how often you use it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are using, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop using this medicine without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before using this medicine. Do not use more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not use any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, use it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist. Test for skin sensitivity before using this medicine by applying a small amount to an unbroken patch of skin and check within 24 hours. Minor redness is not a contraindication, but where there is itching, vesicle formation, or excessive inflammatory response further treatment is not advised. Close patient supervision is recommended. Contact with the eyes should be avoided. If no lightening effect is noted after two months of treatment, use of this medicineshould be discontinued. Sunscreen use is an essential aspect of hydroquinone therapy, because even minimal sunlight sustains melanocytic activity. During treatment and maintenance therapy, sun exposure should be avoided on treated skin by application of a broad spectrum sunscreen (SPF 15 or greater) or by use of protective clothing to prevent repigmentation.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to this medicine or to any ingredient present in this medicine.Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you are taking any herbal products, if you are taking blood thinners if you have stomach problems if you have peptic ulcers if you have any other medical condition like liver or kidney function impairment, heart ot lung problemThis medicine is for external use only.
