Drug Description:
This medicine is used to relieve congestion due to colds or allergies.Store in a dry place at room temperature between 59 – 86F. Keep out of reach of children and petsHow much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist. Use a specially marked dropper, spoon, or container to measure your medicine. Ask your pharmacist if you do not have one; household spoons are not always accurate. Take with food or milk if this medicine upsets your stomach. Take your doses at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed.You may experience dry eyes and blurred vision while using this medicine. If you wear contact lenses you may feel some discomfort. Lubricating drops may help. See your ophthalmologist if the problem does not go away or is severe.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to this medicine or to any ingredient present in this medicine.Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you are taking any herbal products, if you are taking blood thinners if you have stomach problems if you have peptic ulcers if you have any other medical condition like liver or kidney function impairment, heart ot lung problem, if you have asthma or lung disease, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, high blood pressure, heart disease, intestinal problems, pain or difficulty passing urine, prostate trouble, thyroid disease, vision problems, an unusual reaction to foods, dyes, or preservativesYou may get drowsy or dizzy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs mental alertness until you know how this medicine affects you. Be careful taking other medicines that may also make you tired. This effect may be worse when taking these medicines with products containing carbinoxamine. To reduce the risk of dizzy or fainting spells, do not stand or sit up quickly, especially if you are an older patient. Alcohol may increase dizziness and drowsiness. Avoid alcoholic drinks.Most severe: Agitation, nervousness, excitability, not able to sleep, difficulty breathing, wheezing, shortness of breath, dizziness or fainting spells, irregular heartbeat, palpitations, or chest pain, pain or difficulty passing urine, rash, severe diarrhea, severe vomiting, swelling of the face, tongue, throat, hands or feet, vision problemsMost common: Difficulty sleeping, dizziness, drowsiness, dry eyes, mild diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, restlessness, stomach upset, tirednessOther: None
