Drug Description:

This medicine is used to remove ear wax from the ear before hearing tests, or ear examinations or treatments.Store at controlled room temperature (59 to 86 degrees F).How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine is only for external use in the ear. Fill the ear with this medicine with the head tilted at a 45 degree angle. Avoid placing the tip of the applicator into the ear canal. Insert cotton plug into ear and allow it to remain for 15 to 30 minutes. Do not allow this medicine to stay in the ear for more than 30 minutes. Gently flush the ear with lukewarm water using a soft rubber syringe. Do not use excessive pressure. This medicine may be used a second time if necessary. Further use should only occur under the direction of a health care provider. Do not expose the skin outside the ear to this medicine. If exposure occurs, wash and rinse the affected area completely with soap and water. If irritation develops, stop using this medicine. Do not place the applicator tip in the ear canal. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine.
