Drug Description:

This medicine is used to provide temporary relief of runny nose, sneezing, itching of the nose or throat and itchy, watery eyes due to hay fever and other upper respiratory allergies. It is also used to temporarily relieve runny nose and sneezing due to the common cold. This medicine is also used to relieve allergic eczema, serum sickness, drug reactions, allergic conjunctivitis, dermographism, gastrointestinal allergy, measles and chickenpox.Store between 39 to 86 degrees F. Keep out of the reach of children, protect from direct heat, light and moistureHow much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush, divide, chew, or dissolve the tablet. The tablet shell may not completely dissolve and may be seen on the stool. This is normal. This medicine may cause excitability, especially in children. This medicine may cause drowsiness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, and physical dexterity. Do not drink alcohol or other medicines that cause drowsiness (eg, sedatives, tranquilizers) while taking this medicine unless advised to do so by your doctor. If you have a history of bowel narrowing or blockage, talk with your doctor before taking this medicine. Talk with your doctor if you have persistent stomach pain or vomiting while taking this medicine. This medicine may cause sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and other ultraviolet light, such as tanning beds. Use sunscreens and wear protective clothing until tolerance is determined. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medicines without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. Do not take more medicine than recommended unless advised to do so by your health care provider.
