Drug Description:

This medicine is used to treat acute lymphocytic leukemia. It is generally used in combination with other medicines to induce remission. It is not to be used to maintain remission. Store between 36 and 46 degrees F. Unused, reconstituted solution should be stored between 36 and 46 degrees F and thrown away after 8 hours, or sooner if it becomes cloudy. How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine should be given by an experienced health care provider in a medical setting. Avoid contact with the eyes or skin, or inhaling this medicine. Irritation can occur. If contact does occur, wash the area and contact your doctor at once. Diabetes patients should monitor their blood sugar levels more often. Lab tests will be required to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider.
