Drug Description:
This medicine is used to treat severe acne.Store at room temperature. Keep tightly closed and away from heat and flame.How much medicine you use and how often you use it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the information provided with this medicine and reread it each time you get this prescription refilled. Use this medicine exactly as directed by your health care provider. This medicine is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, mouth, and other mucous membranes. Wash affected areas with soap and water, rinse well, and pat dry before applying the medicine. Apply a thin film of this medicine to the affected areas in the morning and evening. Spread the medication lightly over the affected areas rather than rubbing it in. Wash your hands after applying this medicine. Stop using this medicine and contact your health care provider if there is no improvement after 6 to 8 weeks or if condition worsens. Use additional topical medications with caution because of possible irritation. Use of this medicine (especially long-term or repeated therapy) may cause a second infection caused by an overgrowth of bacteria or fungus. Contact your doctor if you suspect a second infection. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before using this medicine. Do not stop using this medicine without checking with your doctor. Do not use more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have used too much of this medicine. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. If a dose is missed, use it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor.
