Drug Description:
This medicine is used for the management of diabetesStore at room temperature in a cool dry place, protect from heat and light. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children and pets.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist. Mix your insulin by slowly rolling the bottle or pen between your hands. Do not use the insulin unless it is clear and colourless. Do not use it if it contains crystals or if the bottle or vial looks frosted. Inject your dose of insulin under the skin exactly as instructed by your doctor or diabetes educator. Keep unopened bottles of insulin in the refrigerator until needed; they may be used until the expiry date on the label. Never allow insulin to freeze. Insulin that is currently in use may be kept at room temperature for 28 days only and then discarded. Insulin must not be exposed to extremely hot temperatures or to sunlight. Many things can affect the dose of medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones given here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting your doctor. It is very important that you use this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
