Drug Description:
This medication is used in children and infants for the treatment of mild to moderate heart failure and for the control of heart rhythm where the atria of the heart is beating too fast or too irregularly to function properly.Store between 59 to 77 degrees F. Protect from light.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine must be taken on a regular basis, generally at the same time of the day, usually in the morning. It can be taken without regard to meals. Lab tests may be required to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not give nonpresciption antacids, cough, cold, allergy, and diet medications to your child unless you have asked your child’s health care provider or pharmacist. Do not stop giving this medicine to your child without checking with your health care provider. Do not give more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.Do not give this medicine if your child is allergic to any ingredient in this medicine or similar medications your child’s ventricles of the heart that beat too fast or too irregularly to function properlyBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condition, especially heart conditionsThis medicine should be prescribed with caution if you have heart disease like sinus node disease, AV block, certain disorders of the left ventricle, if you have poor kidneys, a thyroid disorder, or an imbalance in your calcium, potassium, or magnesium levels.Most severe: Apathy, blurred vision, breast development in males, change in heartbeat, confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, lower stomach pain, nausea, psychosis, rash, vomiting, weakness, yellow visionMost common: Irregular heart rhythms.Other: None

Severe Side Effects:
