Drug Description:

This medication is used in children and infants for the treatment of mild to moderate heart failure and for the control of heart rhythm where the atria of the heart is beating too fast or too irregularly to function properly.Store between 59 to 77 degrees F. Protect from light.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine must be taken on a regular basis, generally at the same time of the day, usually in the morning. It can be taken without regard to meals. Lab tests may be required to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not give nonpresciption antacids, cough, cold, allergy, and diet medications to your child unless you have asked your child’s health care provider or pharmacist. Do not stop giving this medicine to your child without checking with your health care provider. Do not give more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider.
