Drug Description:

This medicine is used to treat Depressive illnesses like Obsessive-Compulsive disorder in patients over 18 years of age.Store at controlled room temperature (between 59 and 86 degrees F). Protect from high humidity. Keep container tightly closed.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine may be taken without regard to food, but usually at bedtime. Do not use if you are taking MAOIs or within 14 days of stopping treatment with an MAOI. Wait for at least 2 weeks to use an MAOI after stopping treatment with this medicine. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking while taking this medicine. This medicine may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or impaired judgment. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Notify your health care provider if rash, hives, other signs of allergic reaction, or seizures develop while using this medicine. This medicine may not be as effective if you smoke. Do not take over-the-counter or prescription medications. herbal preparations, or dietary supplements without talking with your health care provider. Do not take more medicine or change the dose unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), terfenadine, astemizole, cisapride, or pimozideBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine or dietary supplement (eg, benzodiazepines, theophylline, warfarin) if you smoke if you have a history of addiction if you have any other medical conditionThis medicne should not be administered with M.AO. InhibitorsMost severe: Chest pain; pounding in the chest; fast heartbeat; difficulty breathing; seizures, sleeplessness, dizziness, tremor, agitation, anorexia, constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting.Most common: Sleeplessness; nausea; drowsiness; dry mouth; tremor; changes in sexual desire or ability; sweating; taste changes; constipation; appetite changes; gas; headache; memory loss; indifference; incoordination; anxiety; dizziness; flushing; lightheadedness; runny nose; congestion; cough; hives; itching; rash; unusual bruising; frequent urination; painful menstruation; general body discomfort; fluid retention; weight changes; ear pain; muscle spasms; weakness; vision impairment; difficulty swallowing.Other: Nervousness; chills; vomiting; indigestion; diarrhea; stomach pain; depression.
