This medication is prescribed for the treatment of specific fertility issues in women. It functions by supplying follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) to support the production of eggs in healthy ovaries. Typically, it is combined with another hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) to facilitate pregnancy by promoting the growth and release of a mature egg during ovulation.
