Drug Description:

This medicine is used in to relieve allergy symptoms, runny nose, vasomotor rhinitis and hives.Store between 36 and 86 degrees F.How much medicine you take and how often it is taken depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Take this medicine as directed by your health care provider. This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity, such as operating machinery. This medicine is more likely to cause dizziness, drowsiness, or low blood pressure in patients over 60 years of age. Avoid drinking alcohol or taking other medicines that cause drowsiness (eg, sedatives, tranquilizers) unless advised to do so by your health care provider. This medicine may cause sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and other ultraviolet light. Use sunscreens and wear protective clothing until tolerance is determined. Do not take any over-the-counter or prescription medications or dietary supplements without talking with your health care provider. Do not give this medicine to children under 12 years of age. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine or to similar medications you have lower respiratory tract symptoms, including asthma you are currently taking a monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitorBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine or dietary supplements if you have narrow-angle glaucoma if you have peptic ulcers if you have intestinal block if you have difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate or narrowing of the bladder neck if you have an overactive thyroid if you have heart disease or high blood pressure if you have increased inner eye pressure if you are receiving blood thinners if you have a history of asthma if you have any other medical conditionThis medicine should be used with caution in patients with narrow angle glaucoma, stenosing peptic ulcer, pyloroduodenal obstruction, prostatic hypertrophy or bladder neck obstruction, cardiovascular disease, hyperthyroidism, those with increased intraocular pressure and patients with bronchial asthma.Most severe: Irregular heart rhythms; fast heartbeat; unusual tiredness; hysteria; convulsions.Most common: Drowsiness; dizziness; stomach upset; thickening of bronchial secretions; sleepiness; uncoordination.Other: Excitation; anemia; rash; sensitivity to sunlight; excessive sweating; chills; dry mouth, nose, and throat; headache; feeling of a whirling motion; ringing in the ears; tiredness; restlessness; excitation; tremor; irritability; sleeplessness; exaggerated sense of well-being; abnormal skin sensations; blurred vision; loss of appetite; nausea; vomiting; diarrhea; constipation; frequent urination; urinary retention; difficulty urinating; early menstrual cycle; tightness in the chest; wheezing; nasal stuffiness; hives; confusion; tremor; decreased appetite.
