Description
Drug Description:
This medicine is used to provide temporary relief of pain and discomfort due to minor irritation of the mouth and gums caused by dentures or other dental appliances.Store at room temperature. Keep away from heat or flame. Do not smoke while using this medicine and until the medicine has dried.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Wash hands and remove dentures or dental appliances before using this medicine. Apply a small amount of this medicine to the affected gum area and then reinsert dentures or dental appliances. Do not use this medicine for more than 7 days unless directed to do so by your health care provider or dentist. If sore mouth symptoms do not improve in 7 days, or if irritation, pain, or redness continues or worsens, or if swelling, rash, or fever develops, talk with your health care provider at once. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than is recommended unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine or to similar medicationsBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical conditionDo not use this medicine if you have a history of allergy to local anesthetics such as procaine, butacaine, benzocaine or other “”caine”” anesthetics.Most severe: Swelling; rash; fever.Most common: Burning sensation, sore mouthOther: Irritation, pain, redness
