Drug Description:

This medicine is used to treat acne. This medicine may cause sensitivity to sunlight and other forms of UV light (such as tanning beds). Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing over treated areas. Do not use other acne medications or strong soaps while using this medication. This medicine may cause an unusual sensitivity to wind and cold. Use this medication with caution on eczema (dry scaly skin). If excessive medicine is applied, redness, peeling, and pain may occur. If these symptoms occur, use the medication less frequently or temporarily stop using this medicine. Remove all cosmetics with a mild soap before applying this medicine. Early in treatment, acne may appear worse due to the action of the medicine. Do not stop using it. Positive results should be seen within 2 to 3 weeks but for best results, it may take 6 weeks or more. Many users see improvements in 12 weeks.
