Drug Description:

This medicine is for the prevention or reduction of vascular headaches in patients who have frequent or severe vascular headaches.Store below 86 degrees F. Keep in container tightly closed and protect from light.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount andperor frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Take this medicine with food. Weight gain while taking this medicine may require a change in diet. After every 6 months of taking this medicine, do not take this medicine for at least 3 to 4 weeks. If after 3 weeks of taking this medicine, no changes or effectiveness have been seen, stop taking this medicine. If you experience the following symptoms, report them to your health care provider and discontinue this medicine: Cold, numb, and painful hands and feet; leg cramps while walking; any type of girdle, flank, or chest pain; shortness of breath. Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use this medicine to treat serious migraine attacks. Do not use this medicine in a child. This medicine may cause drowsiness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring mental alertness, coordination, or physical skill. Regular doctor examinations will be necessary while taking this medicine. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your doctor. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than is prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor.
