Drug Description:

This medicine is used to prevent nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness and recovery from anesthesia and surgery.Store between 68 to 77 degrees F. Properly dispose patch after use to avoid contact with children and pets.How much medicine you use and how often you use it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are using, talk with your health care provider. This medicine should be applied to the skin, behind the ear, at least 4 hours before the desired effect is needed. If the patch comes loose at any time before you are ready to remove it, throw the patch away and place another patch behind the opposite ear. If this medicine is needed for longer than 3 days, remove the first patch and place another patch behind the opposite ear at least 4 hours before the effect of the medicine is required. For after surgery patients, apply the patch the night before surgery. Do not touch your eyes until after you have washed your hands. Keep the patch in place for 24 hours and discard of the patch properly. Wear only 1 patch at a time. Do not cut the patch. Remove the patch at once and promptly contact your health care provider if you experience pain and reddening of the eyes accompanied by dilated pupils. Keep the patch dry, if possible, to prevent it from falling off. Limited contact with water, as in swimming or bathing, will not affect the patch. Remove the patch if you experience any problems urinating. Use caution while taking this medicine if you participate in underwater sports. This medicine may cause you to become disoriented. You may experience eye sensitivity while using this medicine. Protect eyes from bright light while using this medicine. Wash your hands immediately with soap and water after using this medicine, and then dry them completely. Dispose of the medicine patch properly. This medicine may cause drowsiness, blurred vision, disorientation, or confusion. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Avoid drinking alcohol or taking other medications that cause drowsiness (eg, sedatives, tranquilizers) while using this medicine. Do not stop using this medicine without checking with your doctor. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not use more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medicines without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, use it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor.
