Drug Description:

This medicine is used to temporarily relieve insomnia (sleeplessness). It can also be used to relieve runny nose, sneezing, itching of the nose or throat, and itchy, watery eyes due to hay fever, cold, and allergies.Store at room temperature.How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Take this medicine as directed by your health care provider. Swallow Capsule whole. Do not try to break them. This medicine will cause drowsiness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity after taking this medicine. Do not drink alcohol or take other medicines that cause drowsiness (eg, sedatives, tranquilizers) while taking this medicine without consulting your doctor. Do not take over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. Do not take more medicine than recommended unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider.Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine you have a history of bronchitis, emphysema, or other breathing problems you have glaucoma you have difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate glandBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical conditionUse this medicine with caution in elderly patients as they are usually more sensitive to the effects of antihistamines. Also, nightmares or unusual excitement, nervousness, restlessness, or irritability may be more likely to occur in elderly patients.Most severe: Clumsiness or unsteadiness; convulsions (seizures); drowsiness (severe); dryness of mouth, nose, or throat (severe); feeling faint; flushing or redness of face; hallucinations (seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there); shortness of breath or troubled breathing; trouble in sleeping.Most common:  Drowsiness; excitability.Other: Fast or irregular heartbeat; fever; abdominal or stomach pain; burning; chills; clay-colored stools or dark urine; cough; diarrhea; difficulty swallowing; dizziness; fast heartbeat; fever; headache; hives; itching; prickly sensations; puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips or tongue; redness of skin; seizures; shortness of breath; skin rash; swelling; tightness in chest; tingling; unusual tiredness or weakness; wheezing
