Indications
Oral menthol is a cough suppressant and a local anaesthetic. It provides temporary relief for symptoms like sore throat, throat irritation, or cough, often associated with a cold. It works by creating a cooling sensation and stimulating saliva production.
Uses and Dosage
Let the lozenge dissolve slowly in your mouth, swallowing the dissolved liquid along with your saliva. Do not chew or swallow it whole.
Typically, this product is used every 2 hours as needed. If your doctor has given specific instructions, follow them carefully. Do not increase the dose or use the product more frequently or for longer than recommended.
If you experience a severe sore throat, a sore throat lasting more than 2 days, a cough lasting more than 7 days or recurring, or if you have symptoms such as fever, headache, rash, swelling, nausea, or vomiting, contact your doctor immediately. If symptoms of sore mouth/throat or cough do not improve or persist for more than 7 days, see your doctor or dentist promptly, as these could be signs of a serious condition. If you suspect you have a serious medical problem, seek medical help right away.
Side Effects
Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention:

- rash
- itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat)
- severe dizziness
- trouble breathing
Caution
- Before using this product, inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to menthol or have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients that can cause allergic reactions or other issues.
- Share your medical history with your doctor or pharmacist, especially if you have breathing problems or a cough with a lot of mucus.
- This product may contain sugar and/or aspartame. If you have diabetes, phenylketonuria (PKU), or any other condition that requires you to limit or avoid these substances in your diet, use caution. Consult your doctor or pharmacist about using this product safely.
- If you are pregnant, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product.
- Menthol passes into breast milk in small amounts. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
