Oral menthol is a cough suppressant and a local anaesthetic. It provides temporary relief for symptoms like sore throat, throat irritation, or cough, often associated with a cold. It works by creating a cooling sensation and stimulating saliva production.
Uses and Dosage
Let the lozenge dissolve slowly in your mouth, swallowing the dissolved liquid along with your saliva. Do not chew or swallow it whole.
Typically, this product is used every 2 hours as needed. If your doctor has given specific instructions, follow them carefully. Do not increase the dose or use the product more frequently or for longer than recommended.
If you experience a severe sore throat, a sore throat lasting more than 2 days, a cough lasting more than 7 days or recurring, or if you have symptoms such as fever, headache, rash, swelling, nausea, or vomiting, contact your doctor immediately. If symptoms of sore mouth/throat or cough do not improve or persist for more than 7 days, see your doctor or dentist promptly, as these could be signs of a serious condition. If you suspect you have a serious medical problem, seek medical help right away.
Side Effects

- Menthol passes into breast milk in small amounts. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
