This medicine is used to prevent cavities (tooth deacy) in patients over 6 years of age.Store at controlled room temperature (68 to 77 degrees F). Replace the cover after each use. Keep out of the reach of children.How much medicine you are given and how often it is given depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are given, talk with your health care provider. Read directions carefully before using. Use this medicine once daily in place of your regular toothpaste unless otherwise directed by your dental professional. Adults and children 6 years of age and older, apply a thin ribbon of this medicine to your toothbrush. Brush thoroughly once daily for 2 minutes, preferably at bedtime. Do not swallow this medicine. Adults – Spit out after use. Do not eat, drink, or rinse for 30 minutes. Children ages 6 to 16 – Spit out after use and rinse mouth thoroughly. Gum tissues may be sensitive to some flavors or alcohol contents of these products. Notify your dentist if your teeth become spotted or stained. Fluoride helps reduce cavity formation but does not replace good oral hygiene practices (eg, brushing, flossing). See your dental professional regularly. Different communities have different amounts of fluoride in the drinking water. Check with your doctor or dental professional regarding changes in dosing if you move. Children under 6 years of age should not receive this medicine unless recommended by a dentist or doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your health care provider.
