This medication combines two active ingredients, ertugliflozin and sitagliptin, and is prescribed alongside a balanced diet and exercise regimen to manage elevated blood sugar levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes.

Ertugliflozin operates by enhancing the elimination of sugar through the kidneys. In contrast, sitagliptin functions by elevating the levels of natural compounds known as incretins. Incretins play a pivotal role in regulating blood sugar levels by boosting insulin secretion, particularly following meals, and reducing the sugar production by the liver.
