This medicine is used to treat knee pain in osteoarthritis patients who do not respond to other treatments.Store below 77 degrees F in the original packaging. Protect from light. Do not refreeze.How much medicine you are given and how often it is given depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are being given, talk with your health care provider. This medicine should only be given by a health care professional who is experienced with the use of this medicine. Pain or swelling may occur at the injection site. Avoid exercise or any strenuous activities, such as jogging or tennis, within 48 hours after being injected with this medicine. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before receiving this medicine. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements.Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine or to similar medications you have a skin disease or infection in the area of the injection site you have severely inflamed jointsBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you are allergic to bird proteins, feathers, or egg products if you have any other medical conditionAvoid excessive or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours after injection with this medicineMost severe: Mild allergic reaction (rash; hives; swelling).Most common: Back pain; pain, itching, or swelling at the injection site; rash; headache; joint pain.Other: None
