Drug Description:

This medicine helps to lower blood cholesterol for patients who are at risk of getting heart disease or a stroke.Store at room temperature in a cool dry place, protect from moisture, heat and light. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist. This medicine is only part of a total cholesterol-lowering program. Your physician or dietician can suggest a low-cholesterol and low-fat diet that will reduce your risk of getting heart and blood vessel disease. Avoid alcohol and smoking, and keep a proper exercise schedule. Visit your health care professional for regular checks on your progress.
