Uses and Dosage
Pirfenidone is available in capsule or tablet form for oral administration. Typically, it is recommended to be taken with food three times daily, maintaining a consistent schedule. Follow the prescribed dosage of pirfenidone precisely and refrain from adjusting the dose or frequency without medical guidance.

Side Effects

- swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
- hoarseness
- difficulty swallowing or breathing
Caution
Prior to initiating pirfenidone treatment, inform your doctor or pharmacist about any known allergies, including allergies to pirfenidone itself or any other substances. This product may contain inactive ingredients that can potentially trigger allergic reactions or other complications.
Before using this medication, disclose your complete medical history to your doctor or pharmacist, particularly if you have a history of liver disease or kidney disease.
The use of this drug may cause dizziness. Consumption of alcohol or marijuana can intensify this effect. Refrain from engaging in activities that require alertness, such as driving or operating machinery, until you can do so safely.
This medication may heighten your sensitivity to sunlight. Reduce your exposure to the sun, avoid tanning booths and sunlamps, and make sure to apply sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors. Promptly notify your doctor if you experience sunburn or notice skin blisters or redness.
During pregnancy, the use of this medication should only be considered when absolutely necessary. Discuss the potential risks and benefits with your doctor.
It is unknown whether this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding to assess the potential risks and benefits.
