Uses and Dosage

Side Effects

- fever

- pain in the upper back between the shoulder blades or under the right shoulder
- redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, or warmth in one leg
- pain when breathing
- coughing up blood
Caution
Prior to commencing fenofibrate, inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have any known allergies, either to fenofibrate itself, other “fibrates” (e.g., fenofibric acid), or any other substances. The product may also contain inactive ingredients, such as soy, which can trigger allergic reactions or other complications.
Before initiating the use of this medication, disclose your medical history to your doctor or pharmacist, with particular attention to conditions like kidney disease, gallbladder disease, liver disease, and alcohol use.
During pregnancy, this medication should only be used when the need is evident and after discussing the risks and benefits with your doctor.
Regarding breastfeeding, it is currently unknown whether this medication passes into breast milk. Due to the potential risk to the infant, refrain from breastfeeding while using this drug and for a period of 5 days after discontinuing the medication.
