Uses and Dosage
Administer this medication exclusively on the skin’s surface. Prior to usage, ensure the designated area is clean and completely dry.
Following your doctor’s instructions, apply a thin layer of the medication onto and around the affected area. Gently massage it in. If you’re using the cream, this is generally done once daily, while the gel is typically applied twice daily – in the morning and evening. After application, remember to wash your hands, unless the treatment area involves your hands.
Avoid wrapping, covering, or bandaging the area unless specifically advised by your doctor.
Refrain from using this medication in the eyes, nose, mouth, or inside the vagina. Should any of the medication come into contact with these areas, promptly flush with abundant water.
The duration of treatment hinges on your medical condition and how you respond to the therapy.
Adhere strictly to the prescribed usage frequency and duration. Exceeding these guidelines might heighten the likelihood of encountering adverse effects.

What is the difference between 1% and 2% Naftin Cream?
Naftin is available as a 1% and 2% cream, and a 1% and 2% gel. The 1% gel and the cream formulations are approved for treatment of tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis; the 2% gel is only approved for treatment of interdigital tinea pedis.
How long does it take Naftin Cream to work?
You should expect to see improvement within 2-4 weeks after using Naftin, depending on which strength of Naftin your provider prescribed.
