Drug Description:
This medicine is used to relieve itching and irritation due to skin conditions in patients 12 years of age and older.Store between 36 and 86 degrees F. Do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children. Protect from heat.How much medicine you use and how often you use it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine being used, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the information provided with this medicine. This medicine is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Apply and gently massage this medicine into the affected area(s) as directed by your health care provider. It is only to be used for the condition for which it is prescribed. To use, hold the nozzle of the bottle very close to the affected areas and gently squeeze the bottle. Do not bandage, cover, or wrap the treated area unless directed to do so by your health care provider. Do not use this medicine for diaper rash or in the diaper area if the child still requires diapers or plastic pants. Do not use this medicine on the face, underarms, or groin area unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Stop using this medicine when the skin area returns to normal. Contact your health care provider if improvement is not seen within 2 weeks. Do not use this medicine for more than 3 weeks unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not use other medicines containing corticosteriods without talking with your health care provider. If you are uncertain whether your other medicines contain corticosteroids, check with your health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if irritation, an infection, or any other side effects occur while you are using this medicine. Diabetes patients — This medicine may affect your blood sugar level. Your doctor may need to change the dose of diabetes medicine you are taking. Lab tests may be required to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients under 12 years of age. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before using this medication. Do not stop using this medicine without checking with your doctor. Do not use more medication than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have used too much of this medicine. Do not take/give any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. If a dose is missed, use it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.Do not use this medicine if you and/or your child are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine untreated fungal, bacterial or viral infections of the skinBefore using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you and/or your child are taking any prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you and/or your child have any other medical conditionThis medicine contains isopropyl alcohol and may cause stinging or burning upon application to abraded or sun-burned skin. Do not use in or near the eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
