Description
Indications
Gonadorelin is prescribed to women experiencing absent menstrual periods due to low levels of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). It is often utilized as a component of female infertility treatment. This medication supplies the necessary GnRH to stimulate the growth and release of mature eggs from the ovaries, a process known as ovulation.
Uses and Dosage
Gonadorelin is administered either intravenously or subcutaneously using an infusion pump, following your doctor’s instructions. If you’re self-administering at home, thoroughly understand the preparation and usage guidelines provided by your healthcare professional and the medication package. Adhere to all instructions for using the infusion pump.
Only mix the medication when you’re prepared to use it. Prior to administration, visually inspect the solution for particles or discoloration. Do not use the solution if either is present.
Before each dose, cleanse the injection site with rubbing alcohol. If injecting under the skin, rotate injection sites as instructed by your doctor to minimize skin injury. If administering into a vein, changing the injection site isn’t necessary unless directed otherwise by your doctor.
Dosage is determined by your medical condition and response to treatment. Attend all medical appointments to allow your doctor to monitor your response closely and adjust your dosage if needed. Do not alter the dose unless instructed by your doctor, and avoid using the medication for a longer duration than prescribed.
